National Federation High School rules will be in play with the following exceptions:
1. A 3-minute guranteed warm-up time will be given between games.
2. Players are allowed 6 fouls.
3. The tournament directors have the right to forfeit a game if a team does not have at least starting 4 or 5 ready to play at the scheduled tip-off time or after the guaranteed warm-up time. There will be a 15 minute grace period. You must have a minimum of 4 players to avoid a forfeit.
4. Each team has 2 full timeouts each half per game and are NOT carried over to 2nd Half if not used in 1st Half.
5. Free Substitution.
6. There will be a 3-minute halftime.
7. Division for 12U and below will use a 28.5 ball and 14U and above will use a regulation 29.5 ball.
8. The Clock will be nonstop for the entire game free throws etc... included. If the lead is under 10 points during the last 1 minute of the 2nd Half of ANY game the clock will stop for time-outs, fouls, free throws, injuries or during any dead ball plays. This includes out of bounds plays and after a made basket. If the lead reaches 20 points or more at anytime during the full game the clock will be nonstop with the exception of time-outs and injuries only. No full court press allowed at anytime after the lead reaches 20 points or more for any age group.
9. There will be one 3 minutes overtime period and each team will receive 1 additional timeout. After the 1st Overtime period, if the game is still tied there will be sudden death meaning the first team to score wins. During sudden death, all foul shots are one shot only.
10. 4 Game Guarantee for Weekend Games. ALL Games that involves opposing teams forfeiting counts as a played game No matter what.
11. Free-throws: Bonus 1 and 1 will be awarded on the 8th foul. 2 shots will be awarded on the tenth or more team foul.
12. Game Length Schedule: 14 Minutes for Both Halves for ALL Age Groups -
13. Only TWO Coaches allowed on bench. Only ONE Coach allowed to stand at a time.
14. NO SWAPPING PLAYERS FROM WITHIN NOR FROM OTHER ORGANIZATIONS. EACH PLAYER PLAYS TWO GAMES MAX EACH DAY ON THE EXACT TEAM THEY STARTED WITH THAT PARTICULAR DAY. IF CAUGHT DOING THIS BEFORE OR DURING A GAME THAT TEAM AUTOMATICALLY LOSES AS A FORFEIT FOR BREAKING OUR RULES HERE AT SHOOT 4 DA STARS AND THERE WILL BE NO ADMISSION REFUNDS NO MATTER WHAT!! WE ARE VERY ORGANIZED HERE AT SHOOT 4 DA STARS.
15. ANY TEAM THAT DROPS OUT OF THE TOURNAMENT THE SAME WEEK AS TOURNAMENT WILL BE CHARGED A $200 TEAM REGISTRATION FEE PER TEAM THAT DROPPED OUT. THIS $200 TEAM REGISTRATION FEE WILL NEED TO BE PAID BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY OF OUR FUTURE FREE TEAM REGISTRATION & SPONSORED TOURNAMENTS EVER AGAIN.
16. NO FIGHTING. ANY KID(S) OR ADULT(S) INVOLVED IN ANY PHYSICAL FIGHTS WILL BE EJECTED AND ESCORTED FROM THE FACILITIES FOR THE WHOLE WEEKEND.THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. IF EJECTED NO ADMISSION REFUNDS. ALSO, IF ANYONE WALKS ONTO THE COURT DURING A DISAGREEMENT YOU WILL BE ESCORTED OFF THE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY BY A POLICE OFFICER.
17. GIRLS MAY PARTICIPATE IN OUR BOY'S DIVISIONS BUT BOYS CAN'T PARTICIPATE IN OUR GIRL'S DIVISIONS. NO CO-ED TEAMS ARE ALLOWED BEYOND THE AGE OF 12 YEARS OLD.
PLEASE NOTE: For scoreboard purposes the team in light colored jerseys will be the home team and will sit to the right of the scorer's table (when facing the court). On our Schedules (Sat.) page, the team listed first from left to right is the home team. The team listed second from left to right is the visitor team. The visitor team will wear dark colored jerseys. Each team is responsible for their own jerseys...bring 2 different colored jerseys or reversible 2-colored jerseys with you to each game. Each team must provide their own warm-up balls. The home team provides the game ball and the home team will be the official scorer (will use our Shoot 4 Da Stars basketball score sheets only). The visiting team will provide the clock keeper (will operate the facilty's score clock).
